Denial of Service

The broker shall contact the Transportation Cabinet (Office of Transportation Delivery) before denying any requested services due to the following items:
- The recipient is found to be ineligible for Medicaid or KWP program services on the basis of the State computer database information or contact with DCBS.

Recipient refuse to cooperate in determining status of their eligibility
- Recipient refuses to provide the requested documentation necessary to determine needed services
- the recipient fails to request reservation 3 days in advance of appointment without good cause (excludes KWP participants)
The broker shall report any discontinued trip or service due to:
- Recipient exhibiting uncooperative behavior or misus/abuse of service
- Recipient is not ready to board transport 15 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time
Transportation Cabinet must provide the recipient denial of transport in writing. The statement must include the specific reason for the denial or termination and recipient's right to appeal.
