Audubon Area Community Services GRITS Transportation operates 77 vehicles, consisting of 51 busses, 24 mini-vans and 2 4WD SUVs, across 13 counties in Kentucky.  The 77 vehicles consist of 69 vehicles which are wheel chair accessible of those, 46 have wheel chair lifts that can handle wheel chairs 33 inches in width and 3 vehicles with 37 inch width wheel chair lift, 3 of the 46 vehicles, kneel (lower themselves) to accommodate easier access (no steps) for the client whether walk-on or wheel chair assisted.  The counties covered by GRITS include Daviess, Ohio, McLean, Henderson, Webster, Union, Hancock, Warren, Simpson, Butler, Logan, Hart, and Edmonson.

New Freedom

This very unique vehicle in GRITS fleet can accommodate 10 wheelchairs. This Vehicle which exceeds ADA requirements is designed to quickly evacuate persons with disabilities in times of emergency or provide unique socialization activities for wheelchair bound riders.
