What is a Paratransit Service?
Paratransit is a specialized service for people with disabilities who are not able to ride fixed-route public transportation buses.
When can I schedule my Trip?
In order to serve as many customers as possible in a timely manner, please schedule your trip seventy-two (72) hours in advance for Medicaid, 24 hrs for all other programs. Scheduling hours are Mon.-Fri. 8:00 am-4:30 pm and 8:00 am-1:00 pm on Sat.
How will I be picked-up?
For Medicaid recipients, GRITS will provide door-to-door service. All others receive curb-to-curb service.
When does the weather affect your services?
Safety is very important to us. We will continue to provide services until road condition are unsafe. Call our office if in question.
What if I am not satisfied with my trip?
Professional courteous service is the heart of what we do. If you have encountered a problem please call the manager.
How long can the driver wait for me?
Coordination of services is very critical to our business, Drivers will wait fifteen (15) minutes for Medicaid clients and five (5) minutes for all others. Guidelines require a client to be ready one (1) hour before the scheduled drop off time.
