Rules of Riding

NOTE: Any recipient's failure to abide by the following rules will result in trip denial.
The passenger:
- Must be identified by program eligibility
- Shall have proper identification
- Is not under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs
- Shall abide by the signs in the vehicle (e.g. no smoking, no food, etc.)
- Shall wear a seat belt and children shall abide by child restraint seat belt requirements
- Shall not hold children in laps
- Is responsible for personal items
- Shall call 72 hours in advance for transport, if possible
- Shall cancel the trip as soon as possible but no less than 24 hours in advance
- Shall give all pertinent information needed to the transportation provider such as attendant requirements, special needs (e.g. wheelchair service)
- Riders that engage in violent, seriously disruptive or illegal conduct may lose their transportation privleges. Privileges may be removed with approval from the Cabinet and applicable state agency.
- Riders are limited to 3 packages maximum, and must be able to carry said packages.
